missingWrote a review on Dec 31cozy bar areauncomfortable bedslimited bathroom space
The cozy bar area offered a warm atmosphere to unwind.
The beds were uncomfortable without box springs, causing them to sag. I also felt the cafe area lacked the charm expected from a hotel setting, and the strong smell of fried food upon entry was quite off-putting. Additionally, I wished the bathrooms had better counter space for personal items, as it felt cramped.

Strongly recommend for a quick weekend visit
Comfortable room, friendly staff, the immaculate breakfast provided a great start to our day, and the location is ideal for exploring local attractions.
No negatives to mention.

this hotel was absolutely not as grand as I expected, with condensation issues and uncomfortable bedding, leading to a sleepless night. I wanted a room upgrade, but, of course, I was treated like just anyone else. I almost wrote a great review but just couldn’t, given the incompetence of the restaurant staff and their rudeness.

I had a great stay here! The staff were cute, especially the receptionist who greeted us like friends. My room was spotless and charming, with lovely old-school decor. Plus, the location couldn't be better, right on the main street with easy access to parking. Breakfast was delicious and served until 10:30am 🥐

The room was super cozy with a vintage feel, making it a great spot to relax. I loved having a balcony to enjoy my tea. The bed was really comfortable, so I slept well despite the disco noise from below. The bathroom was nice, too, especially with a great bathtub! Just wish the breakfast could have had a bit more variety, but still, the overall experience was good.

Had a fun trip with friends! We enjoyed the vibrant bar with live music and cozy seating. The food was top-notch, especially breakfast. The nearby shops and restaurants made it easy to explore. The staff was super friendly and welcoming, which made our stay even better!
One downside was the nightclub attached to the hotel, which caused some noise at night. It was manageable, but if you're sensitive to sound, it might be an issue.

a true gem with friendly staff and a welcoming bar
I had the most delightful stay at O'Donovan's! The central location allowed me to fully immerse myself in the area’s vibrant culture, and the staff treated me like family. The tranquility of my room, imbued with history, was perfect for unwinding after exploring. I'm particularly grateful for the cozy bar area, where I could unwind and chat with fellow guests over a delicious drink. Can’t wait to return!

The room felt spacious and was equipped with an amazing tea mug that made my morning brew perfect. I also enjoyed some live music in the cozy bar and a lovely garden to relax in. The only downside was the slightly noisy vibe from the nearby nightclub, but it didn’t ruin my stay at all—just bring some earplugs! 😊

Our stay at O Donovans Hotel was fantastic! The staff were exceptionally welcoming, and they really made us feel at home. We stayed in a Double Room, which was clean and spacious with comfy beds. Breakfast was a highlight—plentiful and delicious! Plus, the hotel's central location allowed for easy exploration of Clonakilty's vibrant town life.
Only downside was some noise from nearby beer barrels being collected early.
