The cozy bar area offered a warm atmosphere to unwind.

The beds were uncomfortable without box springs, causing them to sag. I also felt the cafe area lacked the charm expected from a hotel setting, and the strong smell of fried food upon entry was quite off-putting. Additionally, I wished the bathrooms had better counter space for personal items, as it felt cramped.

this hotel was absolutely not as grand as I expected, with condensation issues and uncomfortable bedding, leading to a sleepless night. I wanted a room upgrade, but, of course, I was treated like just anyone else. I almost wrote a great review but just couldn’t, given the incompetence of the restaurant staff and their rudeness.

I had a great stay here! The staff were cute, especially the receptionist who greeted us like friends. My room was spotless and charming, with lovely old-school decor. Plus, the location couldn't be better, right on the main street with easy access to parking. Breakfast was delicious and served until 10:30am 🥐

The room was super cozy with a vintage feel, making it a great spot to relax. I loved having a balcony to enjoy my tea. The bed was really comfortable, so I slept well despite the disco noise from below. The bathroom was nice, too, especially with a great bathtub! Just wish the breakfast could have had a bit more variety, but still, the overall experience was good.

The tranquility of my room, imbued with history, was perfect for unwinding after exploring. I'm particularly grateful for the cozy bar area, where I could unwind and chat with fellow guests over a delicious drink. Can’t wait to return!

The room felt spacious and was equipped with an amazing tea mug that made my morning brew perfect. I also enjoyed some live music in the cozy bar and a lovely garden to relax in. The only downside was the slightly noisy vibe from the nearby nightclub, but it didn’t ruin my stay at all—just bring some earplugs! 😊

Our stay at O Donovans Hotel was fantastic! The staff were exceptionally welcoming, and they really made us feel at home. We stayed in a Double Room, which was clean and spacious with comfy beds. Breakfast was a highlight—plentiful and delicious! Plus, the hotel's central location allowed for easy exploration of Clonakilty's vibrant town life.

Only downside was some noise from nearby beer barrels being collected early.
